Alaska Audience Finds Beauty in Spirituality on Opening Night

For the first time, Shen Yun has arrived in Alaska. Due to popular demand, they’ve added one more performance after the first three were sold out in Anchorage.

It was the first time for Tetyana Robbins, president of Laura Talent and Modeling Agency, to see a Shen Yun performance at Atwood Concert Hall on April 26.

“The beauty is always inspire for good. And so they intertwine really beautifully. And we’re able to put the creative part of dance, and song, and the spirituality of us together. So it was very gentle, which was nice,” she said.

She went with her friend, Klara Higashi, owner of Klara’s Beauty Room.

“It brought some brightness and light,” said Higashi. “What strikes me the most about it, it was just the harmony of everything, the moves, the music. Everything was just very harmonious and just gorgeous.”

Mark Merrill, deacon at St. Andrew Catholic Church, said the performance was more than just art.

“The themes I would say, are certainly that humanity is not of this world. It is of the Divine world. And that’s where we came from and that’s where we will return. And I saw that theme throughout the whole program.”

“I think personally what is very important to remember is where we come from, and their roots and try to keep all our traditions up and pass it down to the new generation,” said Higashi.

“This is what unites us, we all want to have a best, and it’s teaches for kindness and the beauty,” said Robbins.

“It is a wonderful message of life. And a message not only of the life in this world, but most important, the life in the world after this world,” said Merrill. “It’s important for humanity. It’s important for the salvation of all of our souls.”
