Anti-Semitism at Columbia University ‘Not a New Problem,’ College ‘Has Done Nothing About It’: Attorney

Could Columbia University lose funding from the federal government? Gerard Filitti, a civil and human rights attorney and senior counsel at The Lawfare Project, says that anti-Semitism is a systemic issue at Columbia. He says The Lawfare Project filed a civil rights complaint on behalf of a student four years ago related to this issue, but that nothing has been done since.

Mr. Filitti joined NTD to talk about the legal background of the problem and how he thinks this issue needs to be tackled. “We filed a civil rights complaint on behalf of a student 4 years ago at Columbia, and nothing was done about it,” he said. “This is not a new problem—Columbia has done nothing about it.”
