The neighborhood of Flushing in New York City saw a big turnout for the 2024 Chinese Lunar New Year parade. This year is the Year of the Dragon, and taking part in the parade were many Falun Gong practitioners.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline and meditation practice with moral teachings based on the principles of zhen, shan, and ren—or truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance.
Along with the lion and dragon dances, the colorful floats showcased traditional culture and the virtues of a spiritual tradition from the ancient past, with rich symbolism, smiling faces, and dignified costumes.
