California Lawmakers Introduce Joshua Tree Expansion and New Monument Bill

U.S. lawmakers from California introduced a bill to create a national monument in the Southern California desert and to expand the adjacent Joshua Tree National Park. Rep. Raul Ruiz and Sen. Alex Padilla have proposed a bill aiming to establish the Chuckwalla National Monument and broaden the boundaries of Joshua Tree National Park.
