Democrats’ Support for Johnson ‘Entirely Cynical,’ Not Bipartisan, After He ‘Caved’ on Ukraine Aid, FISA Spy Program: Analyst

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has threatened to force a vote aimed at removing Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.). NTD asked Helen Andrews, a senior editor at The American Conservative, how Ms. Greene’s move will affect bipartisanship in America, and what she hopes to achieve by pursuing a vote when it has little chance of passing in the House.

Ms. Andrews asserted that were Democrats to support Mr. Johnson amid the ouster threat, it would be an “entirely cynical” move rather than a bipartisan one, as they simply like the fact that Mr. Johnson “caved” in supporting the passage of Ukraine aid and the FISA spy program.
