Dog the Bounty Hunter and wife Beth are returning with a new TV series.
The show, “Dog’s Most Wanted” is set to air on WGN America and will feature Dog, Beth, and a bounty hunting team called The Dirty Dozen.

This is good news for fans of the A&E series “Dog the Bounty Hunter.” The series ran from 2003 to 2012, according to the show’s IMDB page. Another series “Doug and Beth: On the Hunt” followed, which ran for three seasons. In 2017, A&E put out “Dog & Beth: Fight of Their Lives,” which was about Beth Chapman’s cancer diagnoses.
Duane “Dog” Chapman confirmed that Beth had been diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in September 2017. In November 2017, he said she was cancer-free, according to People.
But in November 2018, Beth was hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery to clear a blockage in her throat.
“I’m here every moment I can be for her. I’ve never had to go through anything like this in my entire life,” Dog told Us. “I love my honey so much. I don’t know what I’m gonna do.”
“America has been captivated by Dog, Beth and their dramatic true-crime experiences for over a decade,” Gavin Harvey, president of WGN America, said via Deadline.
“In this brand-new series, millions of Dog and Beth fans will join them on bigger hunts, pursuing more dangerous criminals, with a supporting cast of tough-as-nails crime fighters.”

As for what sparked the return, Dog said in a statement obtained by Deadline that “crime in America is skyrocketing” and “criminals are finding it easier to avoid the system.”
On an episode from 2004 of Late Night With Conan O’Brien, Dog talks about how he can arrest people despite not being a licensed police officer.
“I take the citizens arrest law a little bit farther.
“In America, if you see a felony happening or you know someone has committed a felony, then you can arrest them,” Dog told O’Brien. “So I take that one step farther. Got a badge, a set of handcuffs, and made a living doing it.”
Dog told O’Brien about the non-lethal weapons and physical techniques he uses to subdue suspects. He said he uses weapons like bean bag guns and huge cans of mace. He also showed O’Brien how he turns a handshake into an arrest.
Even if he wanted to, Dog is not allowed to own a gun due to a prior felony conviction. Before Dog became a bounty hunter, he had his own trouble with the law, according to his Goodreads.

According to his website, Dog has made over 10,000 captures of criminals in his over 40 years as a bounty hunter. Dog is also the author of two best-selling books, “You Can Run but You Can’t Hide” and “Where Mercy Is Shown, Mercy Is Given.”
Dog will be 67-years-old this year.
