While still in school Dragan Markusev bought an old motorcycle. He fixed it up and rode it for a few years.
He liked fixing old bikes. He bought a few more—and few more. After a few decades of doing this he had enough to fill a museum.
“There are currently over 100 vintage motorbikes in the collection, and of course, that won’t be all,” he explained. “There is still work to be done, there are a lot of parts for restoration and revival, but we are working to move forward.”
Markusev owns a garage in Pancevo, Serbia, that he has turned into a vintage motorcycle museum.
My collection mostly contains motorcycles produced in Germany, but, of course, there are also a lot of Italian, American, French, English motorcycles,” he said. “And, we are working to have as many as we can.”
Markusev collects old, worn-out bikes destined for the dump. He lovingly restores them and displays them.
He has Harleys. BMWs, Zundapps … even a 1927 Ariel 557.
He asks everyone with an old bike—Please don’t throw it away.
Markusev will give it a good home.
