Jersey Shore’s Deena Cortese just had a baby and the new mom can’t contain her joy. The reality star and husband, Chris Buckner, welcomed their first child on Saturday, Jan. 5. The next day, the new mom shared a bunch of new photos of her child on Instagram and captioned one of them: “So in love,” adding a heart afterward.
The couple welcomed their little boy on Saturday. Deena announced the news on Instagram, sharing a sweet video of their baby yawning and sleeping. “Our Little Man has finally arrived. Christopher John Buckner (CJ) born January 5th at 4:41 pm at a whopping 20.5 inches…6 Lb 8.5 ounces,” she captioned it. “Uhg mommy and daddy love you so much CJ you’re our everything. I never thought I could love Chris anymore than I did until I saw him hold CJ.”
Their first son’s name is extra special because his middle name, John, is named after Deena’s dad, who passed away in 2016 after battling leukemia, according to E!.
Deena and Christopher welcomed their son a little over a year after they married on Oct. 28, 2017 in their native Jersey. Several members of Jersey Shore, including Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenny “JWoww” Farley, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, DJ Pauly D and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, were all present for the wedding.
“Snooki”commented on Deena’s firstborn video, “HE IS SO PERFECT! Welcome to the mommy club mawma! So happy for you both and I love you x10000000! So excited to have another perfect nephew!” “Snooki” announced on Thanksgiving that she and husband Jionni LaValle were expecting another child, joining 6-year-old son Lorenzo and 4-year-old daughter Giovanna, according to PopCulture.
“Soooooo Perfect!! So happy for you guys!!!! Can’t wait to meet him,” Pauly “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio wrote.
Castmate Angelina Pivarnick wrote, “Congrats @deenanicolemtv he’s beautiful. Can’t wait to meet him.”
The birth seemed hard, as Deena captioned one post: “It was a tough two days and I couldn’t have done it without my other half…#wortheverymoment #iddoitalloveragain.
Her husband posted a picture of his new son in his wife’s arms, captioning the Instagram post: “I always knew my wife was one of the strongest woman I know but these past 2 days proved it. I couldn’t be a more proud husband, and now a father to our perfect baby boy CJ.”
Early Complications
In July 2018, the couple announced they were expecting. Deena announced her pregnancy on social media. “We are truly blessed and our hearts are filled with so much joy and happiness,” Deena wrote on Instagram. “December can’t come soon enough! Daddy and Mommy can’t wait to meet you Christopher John you are going to be the most spoiled little boy ever!”
Deena sat out much of Season 2 of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” after learning she was expecting a child as she didn’t want to be far from home, especially amid the madness following some concerning bleeding, reported PopCulture.
Despite the first complications, by the 20th week, the reality star couldn’t stop from gushing about her future firstborn in an Instagram post.
“I can’t believe we’re already half way there…although the first trimester was rough and we hit a little bump at the beginning of our second…this experience is amazing and I wouldn’t change it for the world and in a little more than 4 months it’ll be well worth it….Feeling him move everyday is an emotion I can’t even describe…he’s already my best friend.”
As her due date approached, Deena kept fans updated on her social media.
“Chris and I decided to wait until we were ready to spill the beans!” she captioned the post. “Now that we are safely into our second trimester…us and our little monkey are ready to tell the world Our little family is growing! We have a sweet little boy on the way!”
“In only 4 weeks we’ll be welcoming a little boy into this world,” she gushed, captioning the maternity shoot pictures. “Already being the crazy mom I know I’m going to be and because this is our first pregnancy and because pregnancy is a blessing, I wanted to make a special memory with my husband and baby bump.”
CJ joins the family of Jersey Shore. Aside from “Snooki,” Jenni “JWoww” Farley has a daughter and son; Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has a daughter; and Pauly D. also has a daughter.
