At the young age of 6 she was crowned the “most beautiful girl in the world” and now 11 years later, Thylane Blondeau just won another title.

The 17-year-old daughter of French soccer player Patrick Blondeau and French fashion designer and TV host Veronika Loubry, first made headlines as a 6-year-old after beginning her modeling career at the mere age of 4, according to AOL.

Now, a little more than a decade later she’s again making headlines. This time, she took the top spot on TC Chandler’s annual awards list. The results were announced in a video, the “100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2018,” which has since gone viral with over 2 million views in just 43 hours and now nears 3 million.

Blondeau posted a picture of the video on her Instagram, sharing with her 2.6 million followers that she couldn’t believe she had taken the title again.

“I just can’t believe it myself … thanks so much @tccandler and everyone who voted,” she wrote. “I never thought I was once number one!! I’m thankful to all of you. I really hope your having great holidays and spend nice Christmas with your family … all the best to all of you guys lots of love.”

In fact, she almost won last year as well.

In the 2017 edition of the list she came in at No. 2, behind Filipino-American actress Liza Soberano, who came in at No. 4 this year, reported Fox News.

This year’s list also includes such names as “Quantico” star Priyanka Chopra (No. 47), “Wonder Woman” actress Gal Gadot (No. 38), and Academy Award-winner Lupita Nyong’o (No. 24), among 96 other international celebrities and public figures.

The competition was founded in 1990 by British film critic TC Candler. It has previously awarded Michelle Pfeiffer (1990), Nicole Kidman (1997), and Gwyneth Paltrow (1998) with the title.

Covering almost 40 countries, the site says: “Unlike most other annual beauty rankings, the 100 Most Beautiful Faces List is not a popularity contest and it is definitely not country specific.”

“The list attempts to inform and broaden public opinion, instead of reflecting it,” it continues.

The awards pride themselves on being among the most “diverse” beauty awards, and this year’s top four include runner-up Taiwanese singer Chou Tzu-yu, Isreali model Yael Shelbia, and American-Filipino actress Liza Soberano.

Along with the 2018 “Most Beautiful Faces” list, TC Candler also released the “Most Handsome Faces” of 2018, with “Aquaman” actor Jason Momoa earning the top slot.

Early Beginnings

Blondeau began her career when she was just 4 years old, walking for the fashion label Jean Paul Gaultier.

Photos showing off her piercing blue eyes and blond hair captivated people around the world, reported AOL.

At the age of 10, she became the youngest model to ever pose for Vogue, again making headlines.

The Vogue Paris shoot, directed by Tom Ford starred young girls in heavy makeup, high heels, and couture gowns, which ignited controversy as some considered it too risqué a photoshoot.

Many branded it as “disgraceful” and “irresponsible” reported AOL.

The grumbling complaints from around the photo shoot caused Blondeau’s mother to shut down her Facebook page as she didn’t want her daughter to find out about it, according to the Telegraph.

It seems her mother’s actions worked as Blondeau has since made Fashion Week appearances in both London and Paris.

When she was 13, she scored the cover shoot for a French magazine, Jalouse, where she was dubbed the “new Kate Moss,” reported News.com.

At 14, she starred in the film “Belle & Sebastian: The Adventure Continues,” where she played Gabrielle, an independent teenager and daredevil. When asked about starring in a film, Blondeau told the Paris Match, “I always dreamed of shooting in a movie … I was finally chosen out of 100 girls. It was magic!”

Then at 15, she signed with the internationally renowned IMG Models and has also modeled for brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, and Lacoste, to name a few.

Last year, she made her fashion week debut walking in the Dolce & Gabbana SS18 collection at Milan Fashion Week.

Last year she became a L’Oréal brand ambassador and walked her first red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.

Recently, she was the face of the well-known French brand Juicy Couture for their spring/summer 2018 campaign.

This year, she launched her own fashion line, Heaven May.
