WASHINGTON—Pastor Leon Benjamin was one of many at the rally in Washington on Dec. 12 expressing an unshakable faith that President Donald Trump would turn out to be the victor despite an election he believes was stolen from him.
“The election that went on with our president—we know, without a shadow of a doubt, he won. It was stolen from him, but we decree and declare today that he will be our president for the next four years,” Benjamin said.
Thousands gathered to join marches and rallies in Washington on Dec. 12, petitioning the government for fair elections and transparent counting. Similar grassroots protests took place every Saturday since the general election in capitals across the country.
“Today was a for me was a was a sign again and a beacon a clarion call, to call America back to God to consecrate our lives again,” Benjamin said. He, like many speakers, saw a battle of good versus evil playing out in the election before them.
“What’s going on right now is that our nation has been infiltrated by ideologies did not did that did not come from our founding fathers, Marxism, socialism, we call it communism, which is a form of government that robs the power away from the people,” he said. “And literally, communism cannot exist where there are God-fearing people—even the Marxists know.”
“They have to do what is called the Long March, they have to implement what is called Cultural Marxism. They have to get into our institutions like our educational system, they have to get into our family system, they have to get into our religious system. And yes, even our media system, they have to take over these different pillars of society influences, and get the people to be disenfranchised,” he said. “And then they come up with a solution saying that we have a better way, which is not a better way. It’s all a lie. And it takes the power away from the people.”
“This country will never fall, on my watch, will never come under communism or socialism or Marxism,” he said.
The fall of America to communism is exactly what the Chinese Communist Party wants, and it’s a strategy Benjamin says he thinks China has been pursuing for a long time.
“America is a world power, we are the greatest power. And China has always wanted to be that great power,” he said.
But it won’t work, Benjamin added.
“Because I think God is raising up patriots right now that are saying no, no, no, China, you cannot have America. You cannot infiltrate our systems. We we caught you. And we’re going to stop you from doing it,” he said. “I don’t even think Joe Biden knows what will happen. I believe he’s a Trojan horse. I believe someone else is pulling his strings. But he is definitely a vehicle, a vessel, for socialism to enter in. Some of the people that he’s working with are radical left, left-wing socialist. We know that that’s what they are.”
“If he becomes president, this will be a dark, dark place for our nation. And that’s why we’re crying out. That’s why we’ve come to Washington DC, to take a stand,” he said. “And to let people know, this is our this is our crucible moment. This is our crossroads. This is where we make a decision, like Moses told the children of Israel.”
