While the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has claimed to have been helping keep fentanyl from being trafficked into the United States, it has not done anything substantial, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.) said during a Tuesday House Select Committee on the CCP hearing on the subject.

Presenting his case to colleagues and testifying witnesses, the Illinois Democrat also accused China’s leadership of not helping the United States prosecute high-profile Chinese nationals who are known drug traffickers and not working to stop Chinese-based websites from selling fentanyl and other dangerous substances online.
