Shen Yun performed in Worcester, Massachusetts, over the weekend. Audience members said the performances were spectacular and beautiful.
“I perceive that this kind of beauty will change the world and this is what will give humanity faith and hope,” said Tinsa Ann Harding, an author.
Ana Heidmann, a nutritionist, thought the performance of Shen Yun was beautiful. It brought tears to her eyes.
“I started crying since the first performance that came on and I kept crying the whole show. It’s very beautiful.”
“I think it’s spectacular as I really learned so much about the culture that I did not know about,” said Brian Zuzelo, a psychologist at Veterans Affairs.
Shen Yun Performing Arts received a proclamation from the mayor of Worcester, Joseph Petty, for their efforts.
“It’s a beautiful show, I was very impressed with the act. It was moving, the storyline.”
He appreciated seeing traditional Chinese culture.
“It shows some good history of China and what’s going on today. Show with some of the challenges that arose when it was suppressed, the art and that group.”
Shen Yun aims to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture, a culture that was once believed to be divinely inspired.
“I think it’s admirable. I think it’s important that the rest of the world knows what China was like prior to Communism,” said Mr. Zuzelo.
“It’s very graceful. It’s delicate but it also portrays strength and integrity. And I think the dancers do a wonderful job of showing the best qualities of what I didn’t know before, until I came here, about what the Chinese stand for and represent: divine, good, honor, and faith in the divine,” said Mr. Harding.
“They did a great job. And to me, they’re not just artists. They’re really divine people showing divine presence on earth, it’s really a true mission,” said Ms. Heidmann.
Shen Yun has an all-new performance every year.
