In 2025, children under 14 won’t be able to have social media accounts anymore in Florida without parental consent. The governor, along with some lawmakers, aims to protect children from addiction and online predators. For discussion, NTD spoke with Melanie Hempe, a registered nurse who founded ScreenStrong, a nonprofit that helps families prevent screen-related problems.
