A village in Geumsan, Korea, is home to Gangsam Choi—a doctor of Korean medicine full of passion for his vocation, and who always helps his neighbors as if they were his own family. Thanks to his kind heart, his Korean medicine clinic has a regular flow of patients.
One day, a thief comes to the village, and steals one of the villager’s ginseng. However, the thief also takes on a bizarre appearance similar to a character from a popular novel, and is said to be “half-human, half-ginseng!”
Moreover, there is a rumor that the thief looks like Gangsam Choi!
Meanwhile, a foreign child who had been receiving treatment from Gangsam Choi faints. Why did the child get sick? Could it be because of his treatment?
And so begins a neighborhood story—often cheerful, and sometimes thrilling!
