An award-winning film depicting a nationwide persecution in China was screened on Capitol Hill on April 23.

Based on true events, “Unsilenced” tells the story of a group of university students who risked their lives to expose a brutal campaign by the Chinese regime.

The film follows the footsteps of Wang—a Falun Gong practitioner—and a jaded American journalist who finds himself lost in the industry he loves. Facing possible arrest, torture, and death, they must make a choice: remain silent or tell the public the truth.
