Isabelle Thomas, the spouse of Bradley Thomas, producer of “Killers of the Flower Moon,” has died by suicide at the age of 39.
Mr. Bradley, 58, married Ms. Thomas in 2018, marking his second union following his divorce from actress Hillary Matthews in 2015. The couple, parents to two young children, were recently captured together at the BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills on Jan. 13.
According to TMZ, Ms. Thomas reportedly jumped from a high-floor balcony at the Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles on Monday. No note was discovered. The LA County Coroner’s Office determined the cause of death to be suicide, citing multiple traumatic injuries, per online records.
The tragic incident comes in the thick of awards season. “Killers of the Flower Moon,” depicting the historical murders of Osage Nation members in 1920s Oklahoma, has garnered several Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director for Martin Scorsese (making history as the oldest directing nominee at 81), and Best Actress for Lily Gladstone (making history as the first Indigenous Best Actress nominee).
Bradley Thomas is known for his productions such as “Dumb and Dumber,” “Shallow Hal,” “Triangle of Sadness,” “There’s Something About Mary,” “Kingpin,” and “All the Money in the World.”

Isabelle Thomas, the daughter of Sir Henry Lawrence, 7th Baronet of Lucknow, and his former wife, Penelope Nunan. The couple, Sir Henry and Ms. Nunan, ended their 14-year marriage in 1993. Ms. Thomas shared her formative years with an elder brother, Christopher Cosmo Lawrence.
Departing her Cotswolds home early in life, Ms. Thomas pursued education at the private King Edward’s School and Prior Park College in Bath. Later, she furthered her studies at Oxford University, earning a degree in the biological sciences with a focus on neuroscience and animal behavior. Brasenose College was her academic affiliation during this period.
Venturing to California, Ms. Thomas continued her professional journey as a consultant and producer. Notably, she held a position on The UCLA Center of Storytellers & Scholars Advisory Board. In addition, she contributed as an advisory board member for the UK Prime Minister’s Tech City Advisory Board and was an active participant in WISE (Women in Science and Engineering).
Ms. Thomas extended her influence by serving as a board member for The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. She also took on judging responsibilities for tech events, including The Festival of Code (UK), The Lovie Awards (UK), and iStrategy (The Hague). Her diverse engagements reflected a commitment to both academia and the advancement of women in science and technology.
